So I revisited this piece. It was originally a haiku quartet likely written as I choked back sobs between sips of the cheapest beer known to mankind, Natural Ice – circa 2005. I tweaked it a bit this evening, whittled it down to a duo of lines and voila ==> Orgasm.
I have to admit – I find something extremely seductive about a wine goblet. The stem so delicate, if you look at it in the right light, it becomes a poem on it’s own merit. Some sort of metaphysical transformation of sorts. It can really work your mind. But it HAS to be in the right light or your eyeballs will not register the transformative sweetness that is poetry of the visual.
Okay – it’s official. I’m bonkers
Orgasm (a duet in haiku)
wine in my goblet; dew
supple as a virgin’s tear.
lingering shadow.
unseen mambo: this
wind on my window, raucous
like passion murmurs.
